What are the Nursing Home Statute of Limitations?

In order to bring a nursing home abuse or an assisted living facility abuse claim against for injuries caused by their negligence, the lawsuit must be filed within two (2) years of the event giving rise to the injury or from the date that you should have known that an event gave rise to the injury. In any event, based on the Nursing Home Statute of Limitations, action cannot be brought more than four (4) years after any such event. However, there are some exceptions to these time limits for fraud or intentional misrepresentations.
